My three biggest dreams are to get married, to become a youth leader, and music.
Getting married, well, that's every little girl's dream, isn't it? =)
Becoming a youth leader is really a big dream of mine... The past year we haven't had a female youth leader in my youth group (thankfully that is going to change) and it was a disaster. I really think that teenage girls need older women to mentor them and just to talk to (actually, I believe that about guys as well).
Titus 2: 1-5 says,
You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and endurance.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teachw hat is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
We girls are emotional. We need to talk or else we explode (it's a little known proven fact). When girls don't have someone older and more experienced to talk to, it's even worse. Everyone needs a friend. And everyone needs someone to look up to.
I want to be that person. I feel such a strong connection to teenage girls. I want to be able to help them and help them get closer to God.
So there you go.
Music is another dream. I don't know what I want to do with music. Not teach. I just want to get better at it until I'm really super good.
And there are my long term dreams. You sure are learning about me aren't you? It's kind of awkward. What are YOUR long term dreams?
Live long and prosper.
I have similar goals. I want to encourage children in a few years, either adopt or help in an orphanage. I would love to write stories for them.
ReplyDeleteIt's only awkward if you say it is! :p
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm not too sure about long-term goals. Get published, try to find a way to influence other teens to check out God and becoming a Christ follower. Gee, I'm real good at being vague, aren't I?
I think those are good dreams. Girls do need older girls to help them, as do boys.
ReplyDeleteTo have other girls to talk to, that is a huge blessing. And you, you have the sort of personality that makes people wish to talk to you. I think you'll be fantastic.
My life term dream, long term...whatever it is my tired brain can't think to call it, is to be an author. Real surprise there, eh?
Oh good, I'm glad I have the reaper covered for my death. Makes me happy.
That elevator thing would be SOOO funny if one didn't get into trouble for it. I would so love to do it, just to see the other person's reaction. Kind of like, "I'm dead!"
Thank you for the Bible verse, it helped a lot 8-D
Yep, I'm going to be the Elementary watcher. Since Moffat so cruelly killed series two, this is my revenge. "Oh yeah, Moffat! Well, I'm going to watch the American copy of your show were they make Watson into a girl and stick Sherlock in New York! What do you think about THAT?!" Ahem...
I think though, if one can pretend it isn't Sherlock, it might be a fun show. I didn't know the Sherlock chap was Mr. Knightley. So, he IS British, okay, he's cool then. Anyhow though, you and I, we will watch it together and be banned by all the Sherlock geeks who shall call us traitors. The real traitor though, is Moffat.
Oh you and I have the same enemy then. I can't stand Math. It is evil. Pure evil and senseless. Senseless evil, the worse. I flunked it in school. (I also still count on my fingers. Drives my dad batty.)
Good point though. I did what you suggested. I'm working on taking out most of the was but I'm not panicking anymore. I'll use my style, just improve it. It has been going a bit better. Except when I'm half asleep with a cold. Oh well...
You've not seen The Avengers yet?
I will certainly share about my egg bouncy ball 8-D If only I can find an egg now.
Dogberry, that is a fun name 8-D
Let's see...Rose. So...her family goes like this. Her dad dies when she's a baby, then she saves him and gets to meet him, then he has to die again. Then she goes to another universe and finds him married to her mum and alive, but they don't have her. Then that mum dies. So...somehow, that dad comes to this universe, meets that mum, they fall in love...again, and move to the other universe with this Rose and have a son. That's the basic idea of it anyhow.
Oh yes, I did hear the three teaser words for Sherlock. I too think the wedding is Watson. I hope they don't make it all awkward though, with him married then Sherlock showing up and him kind of being like, he moved on with his life and is too mad at him to visit him. And I hope he doesn't divorce her. I'd kind of rather she dies, like, she sort of did in the books. In that Doyle forgets her and fans have to kill her off to explain her disappearance. As for Rat, I don't know the stories well enough to remember any rats. Do you? I've been looking about in the books for rats. Bow, His Last Bow, maybe?
Yes! Definitely need pictures of our red shirt gingerbread men! 8-D
How did the driving go? Being with non homeschoolers sounds a bit scary, especially without friends.
I am soo glad you like the prologue 8-D That makes me very happy.
YOU'RE RIGHT! I forgot about Bill Crosby!!!!! He had some of the weirdest shirts, and he looked sooo cool in them! One of the coolest fellows in weird clothing I think!
