Okay, so maybe I just wanted to post some Kerry Livgren songs... He's cool, okay? First he was in Kansas, which was an epic band from the 70s. Then he converted to Christianity and wrote and performed with the the band AD in the 80s. The band kind of flopped, but the music survives and it ROCKS. Christian music from before the 2000s is so much more interesting (and better, in my opinion) than Christian music today. I mean, you had Kerry Livgren, Rich Mullins, Ken Medema, Randy Stonehill (who performed at my church a few years ago! EEEEEE! That was epicly exciting. Best concert ever), Newsboys with Peter Furler, Keith Green, Phil Keaggy...
Getting back to Kerry Livgren, I just found out he has a book! Now I must find it and read it and learn everything I can about him, because he's cool.
Here's one more song... another Kansas one:
Live long and prosper
I love "Carry On My Wayward Son" :) But possibly I love it more because I first was introduced to it by my brother singing it at the top of his lungs in a really strange voice than because I really would have enjoyed the song just for itself.
ReplyDeleteI have a strange family. (but I love them!!!)
Haha, that's epic!
